Hideous Energy

We love comics, and can never stop reading them. We record a podcast that is available through iTunes, and we keep a blog over at hideousenergy.blogspot.com. Follow us on Twitter (hideousenergy) and check us out on Facebook as well.

Also, check out our webcomic, Super Cute (www.supercutecomic.com)!

Here’s the credits page for issue #1 of Re•pro•duct, available now from the 215 Ink iPad app. Logan Faerber recently finished pencils on issue #2 (it’s amazing), and David Hopkins just joined the team as the letterer for the entire six issue mini-series.

Watch out for more updates!

Logan is doing an amazing job with the book, and I know we’re both so proud of the work we’re putting out. Go grab issue #1, and look out for #2.

Here’s a preview of a single page spread from issue 2 of “Re-pro-duct”. The second issue is fully written and is almost completely inked, so it won’t be long before you can get your hands on both of the first issues. Each comic is 24pgs, so there’s a lot to see, meet and enjoy! Check them out! Thanks everyone!

Once again you can download our first issue for FREE from the 215Ink App found for the iPad in the iTunes store! ( http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/215-ink/id449585609?mt=8 ) The printed edition of the first issue will be available soon and I will be selling and signing copies at the upcoming Heroes Con in North Carolina!

Here is the cover to issue one of Re•pro•duct: Self-Applied, a comic written by me, and drawn by Logan Faerber! It will be out this year from 215 Ink, so watch out for more details on when and where to get it!

From Body World, by Dash Shaw.

Drawn by Emily Carroll, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite working artists out there.

Here’s the in-progress cover to Re•pro•duct issue #1, illustrated by Logan Faerber. We’re still looking for a publisher, and if that could potentially be you please contact me through austin0384@gmail.com.

You might have seen previous posts about a book called Re•pro•duct on here, specifically with art from Logan Faerber for a story he and I are working on.

Here is your first glimpse at the second half of that book, a story written by me and illustrated by Brent Hibbard, the artist for Super Cute.

The book features two stories from the same universe/world, but set in different times. Readers will see in one story a world changed by robots and the technology utilized to create them, and in the other story a world that is changing as the technology is invented and introduced. A strong focus is placed on the emotional interactions sparked by the creation of the robotic technology, and the psychological ramifications felt within the world.

And yes, that is a robot wearing a Luchador mask.

Some day I will have this. Some day.

Our project is coming along nicely. Logan has done a lot of awesome work. We can’t wait for you to see this book, and meet all of these characters.

Two images of an upcoming comic that I am working on; the text isn’t there yet.

I was going to post this, but the artist beat me to it.

This book is seriously a gift to me from the Comic Book Gods. EVERY name attached to it is one of my current favorite artists, and this cover by Giannis Milonogiannis is one of the indicators that the book will, in fact, be awesome.

Stealing this from Brandon’s blog, this is a cover I did for Prophet #24.

I’ll also be drawing some issues of Prophet after Simon Roy, Farel Dalrymple and Brandon Graham draw the first run, which is very exciting news, guys.
